Balm of Gilead
This products is made for preventing dryness and nourishing the outermost protective layer of the skin barrier. Our Balm of Gilead features ingredients of tamanu oil, beeswax and wildcrafted poplar resin. We are grateful to share potent, and effective Canadian wild forged products with you.
A little note: Balm of Gilead is great to use all over the body, it was discovered many centuries ago and is very well known for its unique properties, it is the resin derived from Black Cottonwood poplar(Populus balsamifera) buds. Our recipe is created with fresh, sappy, black cottonwood poplar buds that are sustainably hand harvested in the forests of beautiful British Columbia by the Earth and Soul Collections team. Once the cottonwood buds are collected and garbled, they are then ready to be submerged into a jar of Jojoba oil(Simmondsia chinensis) for a minimum of 60 days in order to complete the solar extraction cycle. It is now ready to be strained and made into products such as soap, body oils, bath bomb additives, ointments, balms and more.

If you are allergic to Aspirin do not use Balm of Gilead as the resin extracted from the Black Cottonwood buds contain many compounds including salicin, a precursor to salicylic acid which is the active compound found in Aspirin for reducing pain and inflammation. If irritation occurs discontinue use.
